MDA has begun to work with commercial customers to identify key applications to which Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are well suited. To date, these areas include Defence, Global Climate Change, Search and Rescue, Insurance, the Oil and Gas sector, and Forestry. All share the common requirement for persistent surveillance capabilities over long timeframes, and all stand to benefit from the development of image archives with automated change detection.

MDA is working hard to make its UAV Service the premier facility of its kind in the world. Our intention is to break new ground in UAV applications, and to help customers investigate and tailor solutions that will improve their decision making processes, and financial performance.
